Unless Marc Bulger turns things around drastically, the Rams are expected to select a quarterback in the 2010 NFL Draft.
The franchise hasn't used a first round pick on a quarterback since 1964.
"If you want to be successful long-term, you need that long-term quarterback," said Lions coach Jim Schwartz, who grabbed Matt Stafford with the first pick in April's draft.
"If you don't have a good quarterback ... you can win as long as you have a really, really good team around him. But if you have a really good quarterback, a lot of times that guy can carry you through a lot of other situations. That was important for us."
They need to get the OL taken care of, especially if they can find a franchise LT that can play immediately. That would be ideal as a building point since they need a QB but they need a line or the new guy will get killed as bad as Bulger has lol plus SJax is playing good too, if they can get him blockers to open some holes, he could put up some huge numbers.
Very possible, I have seen some mocks saying they will take Sam Bradford QB OK with their top pick, which is invariably being forecasted in the top 5 picks of the 2010 NFL Draft.

Yeah Sally, we all feel that way but that does nothing to stop it from happening. I just hope Spagnuolo wins out and gets an OL cornerstone AND a defensive playmaker to anchor the DEF but he will likely get a QB to sacrifice to opposing DEF's due to inferior STL OL play.
